As taught by Yogi Bhajan®, Kundalini Yoga is often considered the most comprehensive of yoga traditions. This practice combines meditation and mantra with physical exercises and breathing techniques. It utilizes the science of breath in a very sophisticated way, using long deep breathing, rapid and segmented breathing, and rhythmic breathing in conjunction with movement to accelerate the benefits of the exercises. Most exercises are performed for 1-3 minutes but can last up to 11. Mudras (specific positions of the hands and body) and Mantras (specific vibratory sounds) are both added to the practice to increase energy flow and to raise consciousness.

Kundalini yoga can be “prescribed” in organised and tailor-made sequences called Kriya. These Kriyas can be prepared for a group class with an aim in mind, or individually in one-to-one classes.
