Cranial Osteopathy is not different from osteopathy but rather a more subtle and gentle version of the treatment. It is practised across the whole body, including the abdomen and the head.

Cranial osteopaths will run their hands, moving steadily and slowly, across the body, tuning into subtle restrictions and tensions in the tissues. Through their well-trained and developed sense of touch they are often able to locate areas of past trauma that may be still affecting the patient. Although occasionally unrelated to the current symptoms, these old injuries can be the cause for compensations in the body, and are therefore treated as key steps to full recovery.

Due to its essentially gentle nature cranial osteopathy is often used to treat babies, children, pregnant women, the elderly and those with recent injury or trauma. (Can be combined with Osteopathy treatments)
